A Message from the HPC Chairperson
Dear Visitor,
It is a privilege to be a member of Mooresville Historic Preservation Commission (HPC), serving with other volunteer commissioners who are dedicated to the over-all care and protection of the heritage of our great town, Mooresville.
In the past year, HPC has achieved many successes: One home on Main Street is now designated as an Historic Landmark Home; The Tour of Homes hosted almost 400 guests and ticket sales covered the cost of the tour and additionally provided money for other HPC projects; HPC began the process for Mill Village to be on the National Register; HPC is now considering other areas in Mooresville, including the downtown area, to be protected by becoming a designated historic area.
We will continue to work for the goal to safeguard the heritage of Mooresville while also enhancing good qualify of life for its residents. Blending the past with the present is a challenge we happily pursue.
Elizabeth Cheek-Jones
Chairman
